ACS GCIACS

May 4, 2009

Dear Colleague:

The widely acclaimed and longest-running Green Chemistry and Engineering Conference in the world is being held June 23-25 at the country’s first environmentally friendly hotel and conference center in beautiful College Park, Maryland, USA, a short subway ride from our Nation’s Capital. You won’t want to miss this conference!

You will hear outstanding talks from the world’s leading experts in green chemistry and engineering, organized around the theme of sustainability grand challenges and research needs in the chemical industry. There is still time to register. To learn more about the conference and to register now, go to www.gcande.org.

Other notable events include the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award ceremony on June 22 at the Carnegie Institution in Washington, D.C., at which companies with green chemistry solutions to commercial problems and others are honored. There are also special events for students.

If you are not able to attend, you can still support the cause of green chemistry and engineering. Make a donation to advance the work of the ACS Green Chemistry Institute® in education and outreach. To donate, go to www.acs.org/giving/gci.

Sincerely,

Madeleine Jacobs
Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer
